10 Tips on Buying a Used Car







Tips on buying a car at the auto auction.(Jake Steed)

1. Do your research before you get to the auction, check online car sellers and publish magazines to get an idea of what you want and how much you want to spend
2. Make a list of all the cars in the auctions inventory you are interested in
3. Get there at least 2 hours before it begins so you can check out all the cars on you list inside and out as well as possibly test drive them
4. If you can bring a mechanic or someone who knows there way around cars
5. Inspect the vehicle thoroughly before you bid on it
6. Know your limits. Do not bid out of emotion, because you like the car
7. If the bid goes beyond your comfort level stop bidding
8. Check the radiator to see if its dirty and if the car has water or not
9. Check the oil cap and dip stick to see if the oil is clean or if it needs to be changed or if the oil has water in it if the dip stick is a coffee color the cars engine has water in it and will need to get replaced
10. Make sure that there is not an excessive amounts or water leaking from the exhaust as this can also mean the car has engine problems
